There’s never been a better time to give your skin a complete rehab. Your current WFH situation not only lets you work in your pajamas, but it also allows you to skip your makeup all together.
WARNING⚠️ : Your skin will look dull and crap when you start, BUT by the end of the month, you will be the proud owner of glowing, even-toned skin. So are you ready???!
Here’s why should go bare-faced:
1. You will unclog your pores.
Makeup has a nasty habit of getting stuck in your pores. Even if you remove your makeup thoroughly every evening, some gunk is always left behind. This collects over time, choking your pores.
So when you stop using makeup, you’re giving your pores a chance to decongest.
2. You will have less breakouts.
Makeup clogs pores. Clogged pores lead to acne. You use more makeup to hide acne. It’s a vicious cycle!!!!
When you stop using makeup entirely, your pores get cleaner. This means less breakouts. It’s really that simple.
3. Your skin will get brighter.
Because some makeup always gets left behind, your skin can’t repair itself at night the way it ideally should. Over time, your skin gets dull, uneven and patchy. To make it look more radiant, you use more makeup. It’s really a Catch-22.
Instead, just give your skin a total break. Give it time to fully repair itself. Do this often, and you will wake up one morning with skin that’s even and glowing.
4. You will look younger.
Makeup is packed with chemicals. These toxins break down your skin’s collagen (the stuff that keeps you looking younger). And before you know it, lines and wrinkles crop up. When you stop the makeup, you slow down the aging process. Makes sense?
5. You will be more comfortable in your own skin.
When you start out without makeup, you’re going to feel incredibly insecure. But this feeling lasts about a week. Once you see your skin improve, you will get more and more confident.
If you’ve given your skin a vacay during the lock-down, take a bare-faced selfie and upload it on Instagram for the world to see. Because you no longer need makeup to feel beautiful.
