It’s time to stop whining about being stuck at home.
Just think about all the cool things you can do.
Like work in your pajamas, from your couch, with a FACEMASK on!
So that by the time you actually do step out, your skin will be glowing!!
Here’s a quick guide to which facemask is right for you:
If your pores are looking super big.
Use a clay mask. These lifesavers literally suck out all the oil and gunk from your pores, making them look smaller in minutes.
How often: 3 times a week is good.
Stuff I 💖: Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask does a fab job of removing all the grease from my skin and giving it a nice rosy glow.
Another favourite is Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti). Just add some rosewater and apply. Wait for 5-7 mins and rinse off. Your skin will look so clean and fresh.
If your skin is looking dull.
An overnight mask is what your skin is craving. These ‘leave-on’ masks have all night to work, so you wake up looking like a million bucks! But you can also leave it on all day, now that you’re home.
How often: 3 times a week will give you what you need.
Stuff I ❤️: Laneige’s Water Sleeping Mask makes my skin look so rested, dewy and bright – there’s never a dull moment!
If your skin is feeling sensitive.
Use a mask with skin-soothing ingredients like oatmeal, cucumber, calendula, chamomile or aloe.
How often: 1-2 times a week is enough.
Stuff I❤️: Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque calms down any redness or itchiness in just a few minutes. After using this, my skin feels hydrated and happy.
If your skin is breaking out.
Use a clay mask, and immediately follow it with an aloe gel mask.
Your skin needs the clay to pull out all the extra grease. But it also needs aloe to calm and heal all those angry pimples. So if you want clear skin, make sure you use both masks.
How often: 3 times a week should do the trick.
Stuff I love: Aztec Indian Healing Clay is amazing. Mix it with equal parts apple cider vinegar and apply once a week (or more for chronic acne).
Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque works wonders to calm down my angry, red skin.
So there you have it, everything you needed to know about face masks. Enjoy! 😊
