    1. Pigmentation takes time to fade. So you have to be very consistent. Just make sure you add a gentle scrub 2 times a week, a spot-removal serum daily and sunscreen to your routine. By doing this religiously, you will see the pigmentation start to diminish. It takes up to 3 months to notice a real difference. I think you should take a before pic so you can compare it later to see the improvement.

  2. Hi,
I am one of your follower. My skin is very sensitive that’s the reason I trust on herbal product or homemade. Recently I got lot of pimples due to traveling and stressful schedule. Now these pimples are leaving black marks on my face. Can you suggest something to get rid of it ?

    1. Thank you so much for following me. I understand your frustration. But u need something that contains glycolic or salicylic acid or retinol to remove the marks. And usually these ingredients can’t be found in herbal products. You can make a pack at home containing besan, milk, Rosewater and sugar. Apply it on your face every alternate day for 10-15 mins and rinse. This should help. I recommend getting a serum with spots fighting ingredients if you want to see quicker results. What’s your budget so I can recommend accordingly?

      1. I have oily skin so serum would be okay?
Budget is not an issue. I am just worried for the after effects of the products. I have never used serum. Ok with besan pack as I have been using it since my teen age.

        1. Serums are actually great for Skin. Because they are super light, they can go deeper into your skin than other products – so they are more effective. Also, serums are packed with Skin-friendly ingredients to help solve your skin issues. 2 good ones are Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution and Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector.

  6. hae delara.. i have combinational skin and im having observable piegmentation . after reading your blog decided to get a serum but i wanted to know any serum which is good without harmfull chemicals in it . im actually scared oft putting any sort of chemicals on my skin. which is better for daily use keihls serum or estee lauder??

    1. Hi Srija. Please don’t be afraid of putting chemicals on your face. These ‘chemicals’ have been properly tested in laboratories and in many cases are much milder than natural products – because some natural products can irritate sensitive skin and cause allergic reactions!! To remove pigmentation, you need products that contain ingredients like salicylic acid (found in aspirin), glycolic acid (found in sugarcane), lactic acid (found in milk), retinol (Vitamin A) or ascorbic acid (also called Vitamin C). As you can see, they have ACID written, but they are all found in everyday foods… so don’t be afraid when you read a label.
Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution contains ascorbic and salicylic acid – which makes it a good product for fighting spots and pigmentation.
Hope this dresses your concern. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    1. Hi Prachi, for sunscreen to actually work, it needs chemicals. However, I prefer using mineral sunscreens that are not harmful – in fact, all baby sunscreens are mineral sunscreens. You can try brands like Avene, La Roche-Posay and Neutrogena – all of them make really good mineral sunscreens. Just make sure it says so on the pack.

    1. Use a face scrub every alternate day. Be gentle, never rough and follow that with a good moisturizer like Neutrogena Hydro Boost or Clinique Moisture Surge. You can also use a sheet mask twice a week to improve hydration. Brightening serums helps too as they are packed with exfoliating and Spot-fading ingredients that reduce pigmentation. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution is a good Serum. And never ever leave home without a sunscreen. Brands like La Roche-Posay and Neutrogena make good ones.

    1. Hi Manpreet, you may have a greasy scalp or dandruff. Get that cleared and your acne may reduce automatically. However, if that’s not the case, then use multani mitti 2-3 times a week, and follow it immediately with aloe Vera gel. A good face wash would be Neutrogena Acne Face Wash or Pears Gentle Face Wash
